I came up with this idea for a Halloween costume for Alma with a little help from a friend. Her son wanted to be Cookie Monster for Halloween so I decided to make Alma Elmo. Especially since he LOVES Elmo. Another friend of mine reminded me that I had the fuzzy fleece. It looks amazing, but it's a pain in the butt to cut b/c you have to use an exacto knife to do it (so you don't mess up the fur). I cut myself a couple times. I had to fold the fur into the seams so it wouldn't gum up my machine. The hood has snaps so it comes off, and the eyes are foam balls I got from the dollar store. I just used a sharpie to color pupils and then glued them together before I glued them on (it took extra glue b/c of the fur).
We went to our church 'trunk or treat' and everyone asked if he was a 'tickle me' Elmo! It was a big hit!
